Our desire is make our customers feel comfortable with the purchase of their new custom home. That is why we offer these helpful questions and answers. Q: What is your square footage price for construction?

A: Since each house is built on a custom basis, the price is based upon several factors, such as: • amenities • finishes and features • septic system requirements • cost of materials at time of construction • architectural review fees • permits • taxes All estimates are carefully reviewed and calculated with no hidden costs.


Q: I live out of state. How will I stay informed and updated during construction?

A: Homeowners are updated via e-mail and are provided progress photographs. We are always available by telephone.


Q: Should I use a real estate agent when planning to build a new home?

A: For homebuyers who are confused about the process of building, a real estate agent who works specifically with builders can be a valuable resource.


Q: How do I select a custom homebuilder?

A: Selecting a builder is one of the most important decisions you'll make. There is no foolproof way of making the right choice. Ultimately, it comes down to experience and trust. And not necessarily price. If the price is right, but you don't trust the builder you shouldn't get involved. Experience, competence, service and value for the money are other primary considerations. Referrals are good. It is best to visit previous projects and see the workmanship for yourself.


Q: I like the quality and style of your homes. I don’t live in the vicinity, but can you build a house for me out side the area?

A: Unfortunately it would be expensive for you to pay us to travel out of our region. We recommend you find a builder in your area. We do have some floor plans we can sell you or we can enter into a contract for consultation.


Q: How long does it take to design and build a custom home?

A: Not much longer than it takes to build a home in a planned community. Factors that contribute to pace are responsiveness, special orders and changes to design.


Q: Do I have to own a lot before I sign a contract?

A: No. You may sign a contingency contract while working to secure property.


Q: Does Conway Construction & Design buy the lot during construction?

A: No. You must own your lot throughout the process.


Q: After the contract is signed, can I make changes to my new home?

A: Of course! Our job is to deliver the custom home you want. Please note that changes will affect the price of the contract either up or down.
